    Hi there,
just bought this today for 45USD!
It is my first Gruen and I always wanted a watch with this very cool hands style that I can only find on this brand.
The watch is not working but the movement seems in fair condition or at least complete although the balance wheel remains hidden:cautious:.
What you guys think, did I go well with this one?

Probably not a bargain, but a cool watch none the less.

    Nice, I love vintage Gruen watches.....should be a 400ss movement circa 1942-44.

This one is of the same era but with an especially nicely styled case. Gruen.JPG

Bargain? well you've already had $45 worth of fun with it;)

I have a couple of Gruen bumpers and they're monotonously reliable. time keeping is pretty good (less than a minute a day) and they suit a bracelet rather than a strap given the smaller size of the watches. they come with really cool boxes as well if you can find them.

I wear mine (10k GF and SS) with a suit when I'm working.
