Yeah, reviews claim that the steering wheel/gauges are inspired by a Tourbillon, but personally I don't see the connection.

Does this mean you have to get the steering wheel serviced every 5 years?

Seriously, there must be lube in there, right?

Strange I was listening to Bloomberg news on the way to work and one of their writers had reviewed a Bugatti. The announcers were commenting how surprised they were the Bugatti had apple car play or whatever it鈥檚 called. I鈥檓 an apple fan but I still have no idea what the apple car thing is, I figured it was music or something I guess it goes deeper

I saw the Bugatti Tourbillon as a suggested search in Google today and thought it was a watch made(outsourced order by Bugatti to a swiss company or so) to appeal to their fans or something... so I didn't even bothered clicking. Certainly didn't expect a car. Like Ferrari has all kinds of merchandise.. probably even watches.

Another German car 馃嵖
Croatian actually, and built in France believe it or not. VAG sold the division to Rimac for a larger stake in Rimac.

That steering wheel in action is amazing, the single spoke not column makes it look like the wheel is floating, the exposed gears on the guages, and the way the rpm/speedo gauge mimics an hour and minute hand makes it a show stopper. Yes watch inspired, but I would not say inspired by the watch term tourbillion.

Also the name, Tourbillon, is French for "whirlpool" or "whirlwind."

I was referring to the production (parts, engineering, manufacturing..) not the marketing and financial headquarter ( taxes, owner of the name) .
btw: Molsheim was chosen for certain reasons....once.
(The new exterior design now meets my taste more - except for the rear.)

In their (excellent) review video, Top Gear suggests to Mate Rimac that the steering wheel is just like that of the Citro毛n C4 Picasso. Very briefly, Mate's equanimity wavers... 馃榿
Beautiful engineering though, a pleasure to see.
