Hey guys,

My education continues... here's a 2998-62.

Obviously, the hour and minute hands are wrong. I think stick hands for the subdials are ok, but maybe these ones are newer? The sweep second chrono hand I ok I think.

More importantly, the dial looks to be from a 105.003. While stepped, pre-pro and applied logo, it is T Swiss T marked.

I think the tail of the S in Speedmaster is also too rounded with a small flick right at the end.

Are these observations sound? Any other tells?

Edit: added -62 designation above

Very much appreciated!

Everything is wrong. Subdials should be Alpha hands along with the other things that you have already identified.

Hmm, I was looking an MWO, pg 141.. shows alpha h/m hands, spear with drop counter weight sweep and stick hands.

Although I know there is some variation with these older ones...

If you are looking at it to purchase I would walk the other direction.

My guess is the movement number will also be from the 105.003, 105.012 era.

Yeah, not looking to purchase this one myself.. just checking my knowledge and looking for more insights.. I may see if I can get the mvmt number just for educational purposes (but I don't want to waste the sellers time knowing that I'm not going to buy it)
