    Hi OF members, as per title I need a cap for a 1971 straight- writing Speedmaster.

    How does one actually know an anti-mag-cap is from exactly that subreference/year? Food for thought...

    I don’t need a very rare early 321 Speedmaster cap. Just one for a 145.022-69...

    Yes I don’t think I necessarily had them in the correct order apart from the first and last. I also think there are a few more types not in the photo.

    No, sorry was just posting as an example. Have you considered one of the aftermarket display backs instead? They come with a movement spacer to eliminate the need of the dustcap.

    It is true that with a straight-writing it kind of makes sense that you would want to have the standard caseback on there - kind of the point of that particular watch :) Unfortunately any time I've seen a period correct one for sale they are $300-$400, which to me has always seemed a bit crazy.
