Dear All on Omega Forums, my first post, and i hope some of you may be able to provide me with the missing link(s) !

I recently traded my way to a 166.091 - the trade was good, and i am happy.
But the 166.091 i got in the trade kind of confuses me a bit, as the hands and movement seems a bit, different to what i am able to google my way to..

As the pictures show, the Seamaster 200, have the hands i would refer to as proplof, and to what i can find, it should not be so, but more like a black sword hand ?

Secondly, the moment shows to be a 1001 - and not a 1002 as i should be ?

    So, in short my questions are;

Are the hands original, in the terms that this model has been supplied with these hands ? - or replaced to the proplof ?
Are the moment the correct, or maybe a watchmaker replaced the automatic bridge with what he "had around " at some point in time ?

I hope some of you are able to assist me :)

    Best,

    Adam

    Hi Adam,

The hands are from a PloProf... I can't tell you about the movement unfortuantely, but the one I owned had a cal.1002 inside.

    Hi,
I am afraid that your doubts are correct.
    1. The hands should be black sword hands.
    2. The movement should be cal.1002. Chronometer movement 1001 is for Constellation. IMO

I've seen yours a few time but I'm not sure it's genuine replacement.
    Compare it to mine:

Hands were a very popular replacement in dive watches by divers in the day these watches were new. Not only on Omega watches ;)

Missing date window surround... suspect not service replacement.

You guys are just great - although i did manage to find hands on myself! :) - what really troubles me at the moment, is actually the dial being, with great chance, a redial. And finding a correct one there, is well not so easy.

Secondly, upon further examining of my watch, i find the date disc to be with a silver, and not correctly white or black background.

All in all, if i am to wear it as a daily beater, then who cares; replace the datering, right dial and right hands and off you go..

But; that just kinda feels like when you were 7 and the dream for christmas was that Lego Technic set, and then you get a sweater....
