One of the least popular watches in the current line up. Is it because its too big for a dress watch? I know @Superdoc has a beauty, who else? Lets see them.

It's quite thick but I happen to like the dual register look

2D9A9590.1.jpg 2D9A9594.JPG 2D9A9606.JPG the DeVillE 9300 was love at first sight....

DeVillE's have never been overly popular... but they are my favourite..

I had one and flipped it immediately. Gorgeous dial, WAY too thick for a dress watch, and I'm a total apologist when it comes to Omega watch thickness.

It isn't just the raw thickness, but they did nothing with the design to hide it:

Now compare that to the Speedmaster 9300 which is actually a little thicker:

Yeah... but when that thickness represents a big hunk of gold... I tend not to mind so much...;)

It's not dressy in anyway. It is a big, Thick watch. Steel or Gold. Also the price you pay for gold on that watch its not worth the GOLD that is been actually used to make the case or any gold watch in that matter.

Are the steel watches worth the STEEL that is actually used to make the watches?...

Since when is a watches value the sum of its parts?...

No you are right they don't. Not gold or steel and the value sum up to other people's opinion. Just like AP steel can cost more then your gold deville. So to put that in perspective for you that was my opinion.

Never, but it is particularly egregious with precious metal watches.

great watch and the DeVille line in general is not as popular as the sport models... I find that to be true with almost all houses. Their dress line just isn't as popular as the sport models...

A question for @Superdoc : You had dinner with Buzz Aldrin a while back and surely saw his two-Omega watch setup. What was the gold watch? -- a Deville Chronograph?
