I have a 'known real' electronic 1980s steel Constellation that has the stamped 'observatory' on the backplate. It also has the textured dial finish.

I have seen another similar model with a more plain smooth-finished dial, rotary day and date dials, but with no observatory on back - just the words "Omega Constellation" and the logo. Could this one be genuine, or should all have the observatoty ?

Yep, here are two of my known-good one (model # ???) , and 3 of the suspect one (model # ???). And for good measure my trusty old Chronostop !

The suspect one has points of difference iin that the dial material is different, the back has no embossed observatory, and the lugs on the side are not screwed on as they are on the 'good' one.

Looking for opinions as to if the 'suspect' one is likely fake.

    cheers
