I have seen a few bracelets like this called 7912 transitional. There are 4 spring links on one side and 6 on the other. The spring links do not have the usual sliding cover plate used to remove them. They are connected with the same folded metal piece used to connect the regular links. There seems to be differing opinions on whether these are original spring links or some sort of repair. They look original to me. The ends are number 7 which are 18mm. The clasp does not contain a reference number. I have heard some say that the early 7912 bracelets were not marked. the date is 1/61 if that helps. I am curious about what reference this bracelet is. Is there really a transitional 7912? Has anyone seen a marked 7912 that has an earlier date than 1/61? Does anyone have any more opinions on the matter or seen any others like it recently? Sorry for the blurry pictures. Thanks 20160205_224942-1.jpg 20160205_225016.jpg 20160205_225016-1.jpg 20160205_225123-1.jpg

I think this bracelet is ok. This is an example of a the transitional bracelet between the 7077 which had 5 double springy links and the 7912 which used the more common single spring links also used on the 1035 and 1039. The springy links on this transitional bracelet are of a different variety and appear correct. The buckle is slightly longer than the 7077 buckle and also appears correct. MWO is the source to be sure. The chart below is helpful as well.

    Hi

Correct full length 7912 type BCT with non-serviceable expandable links and with 18mm end pieces highly likely from a period Seamaster / Constellation.

Non-serviceable also means non-removable for sizing?
