734 end link’s suitability

Hello, I’m enamoured with vintage c shape constellations and have a couple. One is gold plaqued from 1971 on which I have a de Beers alligator strap and the other is 1968 and steel. The latter has an incongruous bracelet, so I’m after a 1040 bracelet with 518 end links. I’ve just seen a 1040 bracelet but it has 734 end links, would this be compatible with the latter constellation Thanks
