I have been collecting for a short while now and have noticed a theme running through my collection. I bought my first omega on holiday while in LA. I was walking past a jewellery store and saw a Geneve megahertz in the window. I had a look and walked away but had to go back and get it. It was 600 pounds, probably about 599 pounds more than I should have paid but there was no way I was going to leave without it. I still own it and love it as much as the day I bought it. (Here is an image from the internet that is similar to mine but mine has a blue dial)

Since then I have mainly collected 70s omegas, mainly because of the funky design. Some are very recent purchases and I have not even seen them in the flesh or had a chance to wear them as I moved to Malawi for work and didn t take any of them with me.
(pictures are taken by the sellers.

(This image is also taken from the internet)

I don't think I have a favourite, they are all interesting and I am telling myself that I won't buy any more but that goes out the window quite quickly.
I have developed a liking for speedmasters so I also have a speedytuesday le on reserve so not sure which ones are going to get any wrist time when I get home in July.

Cool watches, I had, actually still have, a thing for the 70's Omega's. I love this period of design, so flamboyant, you can't help but smile when strapping one on.

Haha thanks I tried to find images of those other watches. The banana I bought from Cristos 71. Most of my watches have been bought from forum members mostly from Tom Dick.

You can't beat the 70's stuff, I've been collecting much older stuff for some time no but every time I open my watch box and see my top 20 they are still the 70's pieces

And in first place is still this monster

I have to agree that, that one would top any list of seriously beautiful watches. I am sure there are many who think it is a bit over the top but that dial is just amazing.
