Alright I'm a little stumped I have 7,500 dollars to spend on a watch I don't want to go over my budget by a penny :) . The watches that I have been looking at are the IWC Ingenieur 7 Days but I can't really wrap my head around the large case diameter 46mm. I'm also looking at a Hublot classic fusion I would prefer something that's a little better in the movement department. I'm really into anything looking at dress watches and sporty watches anything expect dive watches. I need a watch that I can wear on a daily basis. I already have a Seamaster professional and a Speedmaster professional so I don't want another one unless your giving it to me for free ;)

Do you have a preference with respect to Manufacturer?
    Precious Metals?
    SS?
    complications?
    bracelet?
    strap?
    size?
    Movement style (manual wind/auto/batterythingy)
    are we talking 7.5k USD?

My preference for metals would be anything except yellow gold I can't really stand the color. no preference for complications just something that is relatively clean and easy to read. Either leather or stainless steal for the bracelet is find it doesn't matter to me. For the size I would prefer something in the range of 35-42 mm. My budget is 7,500 USD. I do have to say i prefer newer watches to older ones and I like symmetry. The movement does matter to me I would prefer at this price point to have something in-house.

That answer to what watch to buy and wear relies so heavily on personal taste and preference, however, since you asked you must be looking for different ideas.

I spent less than your budgeted amount on a new Rolex Explorer II (comes in Polar and Black dial - I went with black). I choose this model due the simple and very legible face, excellent value (DavidSW selling for same price I paid new) and I use the GMT function all the time due to my regular global travels for work.

Some say it's too big at 42mm, for me it's the perfect size.

Some don't want a Rolex (for whatever reason), I find this to be one of the less obvious (i.e.: not so common) models.

Anyhow, this watch fits my personal taste and style so there's another option for you (seems to fit the criteria you listed as well)

Are you thinking vintage or new? I think they are two totally different ballgames with respect to purchases, and that figuring out that would be your first step. Seems to me your looking new from what you said above??

Go to a casino, make a beeline for the roulette table, and bet it all on red.

You'll then have a $15k budget, but not a penny more, and possibly less.

Not sure if you would consider used/pre-owned versions, if yes, you could save a little off a new version.

If you're not very familiar with the Explorer II, there are 2 different sizes. The 16570 comes in 40mm and the newer 216570 at 42mm. Some strongly prefer the 40mm and some the 42mm, purely a personal preference thing.

All the best in your search.

Don't settle, find the one that really impresses you (regardless of brand and reference).

Fly to Las Vegas, Go to all the boutiques and ADs, look at all the watches, try them on.
Pick out what you like that is around you budget.
    Go home.
Research where you can find what you want for the best price.
    Buy watch.

It is sort of like buying a car, people can't tell you which one to buy, you really need to do this yourself.

They should teach this stuff in high school.

When my father took me to the University, he told me
'I'm not really concerned what kind of grades you get here,
but learn how to make a decision. I've met many brilliant men,
but you'd be surprised how many of them don't know how to
    make a decision.'
How right he was. Never forgot that.
