Give me a break. Could at least have polished the crystal.

The Seamaster chrono dial is quite poor as well.

Seems like Rolex dealers who have decided to branch out into Omega but don’t know anywhere near as much as they should.

Yeah, saw that video when it popped on my feed yesterday. Even inflated for dealer prices. Loved his description of that messed up Seamaster chronograph dial - “beautiful carmelized dial.” Uh huh.

Am I blind or that racing dial doesn't look right. Plus, why are they referring to it as the Japanese dial.

I think they were confusing it with an Ultraman.

also, when asked for a 4 digit daytona if its a zenith movement, they show lack of knowledge whatsoever and stammer something like "its an original rolex..."

guess they never heard of valjoux...
please, any competent enthusiast would know this!
was disgusted at their lack of knowledge and interest only centered around money and profit

My best guess is because of the '90s Japanese racing dial reissue 3570.40 Speedy Pro.

On the positive side -- at least they haven't come here asking us to identify & and value their watches for them 😁

My ears pricked up at that point when it became clear the cameraman was better informed that the retailer.

It’s a noob mistake.

I have to admit I kinda like Producer Michael 😟 Obviously I'm not going to take his advice on vintage watches.. or fashion.. or real state.. or investing in general. Maybe that is why this clip does not trigger me. And if you look at that luxury goods store, in addition to vintage watches they seem to be selling all sorts of antiques, jewelry and LV suitcases which means they can't possibly be experts on all those items. So I think it should be pretty obvious their knowledge about vintage Omegas will be extremely limited but I'm sure they have a great deal of know-how in ripping off rich folk.

I agree, it does look "off" for lack of a better term. The PN dial Daytona also looks strange. The printing looks odd.

I saw the shirt and that was enough to put me off. Thanks for the heads up that it’s not worth watching 👍

I agree. Producer Michael is crackers but well meaning from the little I’ve seen (I only clicked on this as I mentioned vintage watches but I believe he regularly discusses modern watches) and certainly adds a bit of colour. Literally.

The bad taste in my mouth and reason for posting this was the pricing and lack of knowledge from these ‘trusted dealers’.

Reminds me of the classic proverb - A fool and his money are easily parted.

Mark lll for $5-7k. I think this one had luminova hands?

If anyone wants to buy my all original blue dial mark lll for $5-7k please message. I'd let it go for $4k.

Pricing is crazy, but I suspect they have been selling watches for crazy prices, so why change.

Replace real estate with vintage watches.
