    Hey All,

Wanted to get a second set of eyes on the following watch I'm about to buy. It's a 1969 speedmaster pro. Does anything look out of place? I have been looking at them for quite a while and can't see anything wrong with it, but thought I would ask the experts.

    Thanks in advanced, pics below!

Looks a little bit to 'fresh' to be from 1969, it may have had new hands along the way ?. Nice original strap though.

The seller said that its the original owner (selling it for his friend) and that he wore it for a few years and then sat in a drawer for 30+ years. Probably no good way to tell of the hands have been replaced?

Well it looks in very good condition, be nice to see a pic of the movement, that way you can confirm the date.

The watchmaker should beable to confirm its authenticity, but sounds all good so far.

I'm not local to the watch, so doing this over phone / email. I'm gonna ask for the receipt to see what was replaced / repaired and updated pics.

With checking the movement for the date I should grab the serial number an reference it back to something like:

Sorry...My first speedy purchase (Gift for my dad)

    Thanks

It looks ok to me - even the hands to me look original to the watch. If the price is reasonable, it is one to go for. Has the uncommon caseback as well that as you probably know was sold for about a year or so.

No red flags, the hands look fine to me too.

The 1039 bracelet is a BIG plus, they typically sell for $500+ alone in good condition.

Think the URL import was a fail. I can still see em. At any rate. Did a straight upload, so should be good now!

    Thanks

Does that serial number read 22 xxx xxx ? That would make it 1965, so wouldn't the movement be a cal321 ??. But thats a cal 861. Maybe the serial number is 32 xxx xxx, hard to read ?.

Looking at the image zoomed in it looks like 22, doesn't look like 32 at least from what I can see.

Just had the owner pull the SN again. Its a 32, not 22.
