A Speedy is next on my short list, but this one caught my eye. Priced @ US$1K.

$1K, as in one thousand dollars? For a Cosmic???? It looks to be in pretty nice shape, but one thousand dollars?

I take it that's a premium over fair market value in your esteemed opinion?

I suppose I will stick to Speedies for now. I am only ignorant about those, which is several levels above my knowledge of other Omega references.

Even if it were perfect, unworn, mint condition, and came with the box & papers it would be a tough sell at $1,000.

I had one of these. I wears small on the wrist so it moved on. The one in the picture looks to be in excellent condition. I have not been following prices of these lately but I would estimate 400-500$ in mint condition.

I'd go as far as $650 for mint original, but it would have to be a really nice dial pattern.

Very nice, quite similar to my own Seamaster Cosmic. Just cited in its old topic, since I recently found its guarantee. Here in Biella I just saw one for sale at 700 Euro.
