Asking for current market valuation of a '67 1675, head only, with Rolex service dial and hands. Just overhauled by my watchmaker.

Fairly informed about market values for vintage Omegas, but ignorant about Rolex. My guess is $4K US, give or take $1K.

The watch isn't mine; the owner is a family member, and likely wants to sell in the near future. I can post a photo for a specific valuation, but what I'm hoping for is a sense of the current market from knowledgeable Rolex collectors.

    Thanks,

That seem quite light; even with service dial and hands, I'd imagine it would be at least 2x. Is bezel original?

Pics needed really to see case condition etc. Is it a late service dial or an early one? Feel free to PM me.

If dial and hands are service, I'm guessing the bezel insert is also service. Pictures would help.

Even with a service dial and hands your estimate sounds low. But pictures would be nice.

    Matte dial?
$5K is light. I would have to see pictures, though.
If the service dial / hands are early, I would LOVE to see a picture.

I've seen service dial 1675s move around $7-8k depending on overall condition. Generally the hands are original though and there's been at least some lume match work done to make the watch asthetically pleasing.

Umm . . . I'm a little surprised at the estimates so far. More than I expected, and that's an understatement.

Here are two pics I took with my iPhone at the watchmaker's shop last month . . .

. . . and given the reactions generated so far, will drive there again tomorrow to get better pics.

I'm pretty sure the bracelet is bogus. Looking forward to your informed comments!

Probably a recent service dial. My hunch is the watch was serviced by Rolex in the not-too-distant past and everything that could be replaced, was.

I'll get pics of the back of the dial tomorrow. Here's one of the inside of the case back.

Here are my thoughts for what they're worth. Dial and hands replaced but with some patina developing. Case very polished. Aftermarket bracelet. Questionable insert, possibly aftermarket. All of this to be revised based on better photos.

There is not enough there to justify a restoration, so it's a wearer for someone who doesn't want to invest in a collectible piece. I am in the $6k range, give or take. Not a buyer, just a value estimate.

Thanks, Dan. Incidentally, that's the exact value placed on it a few years ago by the guy who bartered it with my brother-in-law for services rendered. I thought that estimate might be a touch high as the bracelet isn't authentic.
Apparently, that element was factored in back then.

It was probably a little high at the time, which makes sense since it was the seller's estimate. ;)

It would be a good wearer for $6-7k considering the cost of a 16710 is way over that already.
