I have been looking at this Rolex 6605 supposedly from 1959. Now before you lay into me, I know it is not in the best condition but I kinda like that but there is something I really like about it and would love to see it off that terrible strap.

The dial is what is troubling me and wondered if you think it is a redial? The loom dots do not seem in the correct position as most of the 6605 from this period have the loom dots on the inside of the markers rather than outside.

Many thanks for the opinions and advice.

Maybe try the Rolex sub-forum? If you could post a straight-on high resolution photo, it would also help. I'd like to get a look at the sharpness of the edge of the pie-pan. This should be a radium dial, so a Geiger counter reading would be a possibility if you are concerned about the originality of the lume.
