    It’s was opened up by at watch specialist. It’s has markings from when it was services. They confirmed its it’s all original

    Yes inherited it from grandfather it’s been kept safe in a drawer for 40+ years hence it’s outstanding condition

    Try taking it to a reputable auction house with a reasonable turnover in watches — most of them run free valuation services.

    We have thought about but just won’t get the love that someone/ a collector
    Would give it. Even if restored I wouldn’t wear this style. I have daughers too but totally different story if I had a son.

    There is a collector out there with a bezel and the funds to buy this and set it right. I would most certainly get multiple opinions. Person who offered you 10k should be flogged. I hope it was not someone you consider a friend.

    Well the point being is to sell this piece to buy some of the ones that are more to my taste.....then my daughter will have those ones well that the plan anyway.......
