Or 60th Anniversary Railmaster Reference 2914-1. Both statements are correct.

While the Railmaster LE is a wonderful rendition of the 2914, Omega did produce an earlier Railmaster, the 1955 Reference 2777-2.

A bit of history. The first antimagnetic Railmaster, Reference 2777-2, was produced in 1955. It is a civilian successor to the 1953 military antimagnetic, the RAF Reference 2777-1. The reference 2914-1 Railmaster was produced in 1957,as was the 2913-1 Seamaster300 and 2915-1 Speedmaster.

Therefore, IMHO, the new Railmaster LE is the 60th Anniversary of the 2914-1, which was actually the 2nd generation Railmaster.

correct. the white dial prototype railmaster was ordered and delivered to Canada as well. Bill Soehne has a few things to say about that. mine was bought by the Omega Museum. different white dial configurations are known. same hands as the military 1953, but with black matte painted frames. I should have one set of these hands somewhere..... the 1777-2 case is slightly different from the 1953 case. here are the profiles: DSCN6208.jpg whiterail2jpg.jpg

OF is full of those annoying friends (we all have one or two!) who always interfere in discussions...

"Actually, that is not quite true..."

    Keep it up! :D

    They buy watches and prototypes?
Oh S%8t, I gave them my Speedy. Oh well...!

Does that mean my #410 of 3557 62nd Anniversary Edition is more special than the 60th Speedy and Seamaster?
