·That I don’t. And agree with you in that I haven’t seen a stainless Deville with gold indices and hands either now that I think of it . Usually it’s the Connie’s or older SM’s that do the two-tone.

I think there is a thread somewhere where people posted photos of SS watches with gold dial furniture and hands. It can be a really nice look. If I could find it, we could see if there are any SMDVs posted there.

·Whoa, boys… no need to get overly excited about this. I'm learning a lot, and that's one of the principal delights of this forum.
One can argue endlessly over minute points, only to be found foolish due to the capriciousness of manufacturers. For nearly every reference is "compromised" by exceptions that come along due to any number of factors. That much I've learned in my mere five years in and out of this pursuit. To all who have answered I owe great thanks. And though I may not know as much about watches as many in this space, my knowledge of human nature is sufficient to gain a fairly reliable picture of participants from the tone of the various responses….

Not exactly SS, but this is my black dial, gold furnishing SMDV. Does that count?
I don't think it's that uncommon to have gold indices and hands with stainless steel cases. I have a few watches with gold dial furniture, stainless steel case, though not SMDVs.

Such Seamaster de Villes are not rare. This is the first decent vintage watch I bought.
