    Hi Everyone,

my my friend has a 60s Geneve that his late father left with him, and he wants to try and get it looking nicer.

as you can see from the picture below, the face is very corroded, so he was wondering what (if anything??) you can do with the face?

Ive been told reprinting is a big no-no in the collector world, and I think he would struggle finding a better condition dial for it,

If the answer is "leave it as is!" Then that's what he'll do. however if you have any tips amongst you then let me know, thanks.

PS. It used to have a blue face!

    Luke.

I think that's really appealing patina. New crystal, a very light buffing of the case and a nice dark brown croc strap and you have something unique that wears its history proudly.

This is typical of blue dials from this period. These dials were actually plated blue and not painted which is why they age badly.
