i bought a 565 movement from eBay it's missing a lot of stuff in the calendar movement part. Does any one have a picture of the parts so I can compare my movement? I have cousins PDFs for 565 but it does not have a picture under the calander bridge. Please help me fix this POS.

It looks like someone took a quick set wheel put a pin in it to make a non quickset date drive wheel? Please help. This movement is in very bad states.

How do I know if this movement is supposed to be quickset?

Because it is a Cal. 565
You do know how the quick set works on a 565? The pin is rather essential to its operation - it doesn't have a little "star" wheel to drive the date wheel round. If you remove the date wheel guard we'll be able to see if there is anything missing.

I'm 10,000 miles away from my photos right now but I don't recall a big hole in the main plate on a 565. That worries me more than a couple of missing date change parts.

This is in very rough shape, and it looks like modifications have been made. The photos are of such poor quality it's hard to see details...

This is the dial side fully assembled on a Cal. 564, which is the same as the 565 for the calendar:

    Under the maintaining plate:

And with the maintaining plate and date indicator removed:

Parts for a 563, 564, or 565 will work as replacements here. If this movement was sold as being in good condition, I would be getting my money back.

    Cheers, Al

No - send it back and find one that is in better shape. My guess is that repairing this will cost far more than the movement is actually worth.
