G'day Rolex Passionista,

I'm trying to lock down these three 5513 sub inserts. original issues or service issues? What do you think?

Left to right

1. Case serial 2.5mil (Obvious incorrect dial) c.1968-1970 depending on which chart you follow. Later insert or service insert?
2. Case serial 8.7m serial c.1985/86. Mk8 insert?
3. Insert taken from the middle 5513. 2000s service insert?

Thanks in advance.

The medium-fat characters that identify a non-service insert are only in the center. The color change is very nice, but you need to see the back to determine if it's artificial. The underside should still be a darker shade. Even if it's not solid black, it's still darker, as it's protected from light and atmospheric agents.

Hard to tell. There is a guy in Arizona that makes the craziest inserts you will ever see. People hire him to make them on genuine watches that are about to sell at auction. They usually get through until that guy on instagram (periscope) calls them out.
