I have my father’s old Omega watch and don’t wear it and looking to sell. What I know is he bought it new and didn’t wear it everyday. I took it to a watch jeweler who is also a family friend on he opened it for me for pics. His father’s initial and number are engraved on the watch so I assumed service by him at least 40 years ago. I have had it almost that long and have never wore it. It runs fine. Ballpark value?

Check eBay SOLD listings.

Yours is a reference LL6590.

Should be 14K solid gold.

The hallmarks for 14k gold might be between the lugs, as seems to be common on these Ross-cased Omegas (US-made case with everything else from Bienne & assembled in US to avoid import duties). Movement seems to date to 1959-60.
Best of luck,
T.
