Ok so I’ve had a call from my AD and unbelievably they have one in and they’ve offered it to me!!!

    What should I do!!??

I love the watch from pictures and have been desperately trying to see one in the flesh. Well I guess tomorrow I will, but I’ll also have to make a quick decision.

What do you guys think? What are the pros and cons of this piece? I can probably beg steal and borrow the money but it’ll definitely hurt for a while. Good problem to have I suppose but I’d value people’s opinions.

    Thanks

In my opinion? No flaws and unexpected chance to get one from an AD.The moonshine gold looks gorgeous and it's one of the only all gold watches I would wear.

If it doesn't hurt too much and no one (possibly your wife?) will kill you for it, I wouldn't let this chance slide.

In the end though, it's your personal preference. You think the watch is flawless, as well? Go for it! :)

Why do you want this watch? What is making you think about it? You are going to be short of readies for a while if you buy it, can you cope with that? Do you really want this watch or are you being sucked in by the historical hype that surrounds the anniversary?

The watch is stunning, I tried one on at one of the Omega events, but not a watch for me.

Love the look. Love the story. Love the movement. Love the case back. Don’t love the price. Tough one!

watches should not hurt long imho as a dealer. sometimes we say the price is quick forgotten, the quality not. great watch btw. from a investment perspective i don't really know how the price will hold up on the long run. omega produced many LE. this one is a homerun though design wise. so a lot of pros and cons. you should weigh them and decide. but as always act quick. these babies wont last long.

A picture is worth 1000 words. I think it's a great watch. When talking about the price, it's not far off from other 18kt watches on the market, no? Like the Rolex DJ series?

Thanks all. I guess sometimes you just need a bit of confidence from your peers. I need to pull some things together... if I can sort I’ll be seeing the watch tomorrow and I guess making a very big decision. Will let you know. Thanks OF!

I think you need to buy it, it is a one off opportunity, you will regret it if you don't.

Go for it if you can afford it and it does not make you to sacrifice other important things. It’s definitely a great 50th anniversary celebration watch!

Ok so I went to the Boutique today and the watch is there in all it’s glory! Wow it’s so amazing in the metal. Here’s a few pics... I have the money and so I’m delighted to say I’ll be picking it up on Monday.

And there’s one little bonus which I was amazing to see... the LE number... I couldn’t believe my eyes... can you guess it?

Can’t guess the number, but massive congrats. What a watch. I would love one of those. Probably one of the only gold watches I would wear. Bet you can’t wait until Monday.....
