    Hi OF

Up for same is a jumbo Omega (cursive) Genève from the 1950s with ref. 2748 that does not come up for sale often. With 36mm in diameter it gives a great wrist presence.

    Specifications and condition
    :

    Model: Omega Genève ref. 2748

Dial: The dial has developed a strong, yet fairly evenly spread patina that really shines under sunlight. The clean gold colored, non-luminous hands and markers complement it very well. The true nature of the patina is hard to capture with the camera, so I added a lot of wrist shots.

Movement: Calibre 266, a manual movement. It runs well, but I don't know the service history. The serial number dates it to approx. 1954.

Case: Stainless steel case in very good condition with strong facets on the lugs and bezel.

Crown: Signed crown, which I believe to be original to the reference.

    Crystal: Generic crystal.

Measurements: 36mm in diameter without crown, lug width 19mm

Accessories: The blue Torre strap stays with me, I am sorry, but I am offering an unworn red-brown teju lizard strap to complement the watch. I am also including the steel bracelet pictured in some of the wrist shots. The clasp is however a bit loose and keeps popping open. Perhaps a watchmaker or jeweler can fix it.

Price: I'm asking CHF 750 (or the equivalent amount in EUR or USD) incl. shipping within Switzerland and the EU. Happy to ship worldwide at extra costs.
    No returns unless grossly misrepresented.
Payment through Wise or otherwise bank transfer is strongly preferred. The watch and I are located in Switzerland.

Any questions, please ask. I have plenty of reviews as both a buyer and seller here.

I'm not a patina guy, but I have to admit that this one is quite unique and attractive. +1 that the facets on the lugs and bezel have not been polished away on this example and that is rare. Usually they are the first thing to go on these cursive Geneves. If you don't mind -- or even like -- the patina, this watch is a good buy IMO, particularly for a jumbo.

I have been on the hunt for a cursive Geneve for a while. These jumbo references in 36mm are quite uncommon and pricing goes up really steeply. I am not a pronounced patina person, but otherwise would have loved to get this one. GLWS!

And a correct crown too, we know how difficult they are to source these days :)

I had the opportunity to put this watch on my wrist, and it looks sharp and has a great presence! signal-2023-05-24-11-03-36-052.jpg

Bump. How about CHF 750 incl. shipment within Switzerland and the EU.
