501 Technical Assembly manual? Also help with one part on Re-assembly

Hi,

Is there a pdf complete assy manual, somewhere to download for the 501? I have found parts of a manual bu nothing complete, or exploded views.

Im rebuilding one, and not sure which side of post the attached picture , 470-1255 , sits on.

The spring goes on the train wheel bridge. There is a small stud and a screw hole at the "narrow" end of the bridge. The spring can only go correctly in one position.
