Indeed. Ed White dial, service hands, movement looks like it's been extensively worked on (to the extent it might be a later movement with an older serial bridge).

Definition of a prepared dealer watch.

But the good news is that the bezel, in a year's time, will exceed the value of the Franken watch. ::psy::

that's truly insane ... I just do see how anyone would ever pay even 1/2 that for an old Speedmaster

    It's not for a 2998-2. It's for multiple refs.

The fact is, this watch in parts is worth a good deal of money, whether you like the put together nature or not. The case, movement, bracelet, (even if you believe it's not the best) and bezel are worth at least half the asking price. The dial, though not correct, is worth thousands. How many 2915-3 cases do you see for sale? Those cases are like hen's teeth. I'd say he should be asking 30k for this watch.

@jurisevac@ has a position (not shared by many others including MWO) that this version of the Black Base 1000 Bezel (Style 1 in MWO, not quite a DON) is correct for 2998-1 and 2998-2. He believes that only MWO style 2, the DON version, is correct for the 2915-3.

I have all kinds of ideas that I THINK might be possible. Now all he needs is something to support his assertion.

if your bike is in the snow, then you are probably building 2915's in your garage.
