Hi all, Looking for some good models 42mm and vintage Appreciate your help in recommending if any stand out to your likings . Can be other brand besides omegas too.
You are not going to find much over 40mm In watches older than 1960. Even those will be chronographs exclusively. gatorcpa
On an eBay search you can specify both decade and case size. This will give you an rough idea of what is available.
Go to the search function, type in “42mm” and search only the private watch sales forums. You’ll find 19 pages of watches. Granted a lot are modern but there are lots of vintage in there too.
If your only criteria is the size, you should probably think of some more, or we'll be wasting our time. Which period? What budget? What style? Chronograph/non-chronograph? I'd recommend a Seiko diver, but I have no idea if this is anything like what you're looking for.
Seamaster 165.024 is 42mm....basically 90% of Speedmasters are 42mm. You could also go vintage Doxa Sub, Seiko 6105-8110, etc..
12 pieces, 2 in Sandro Fratini's collection: 1 in John Goldberger's collection: I believe you can get them from other brands using the same Valjoux 55 movement for around 50k, Eberbard, Breitling, UG. Or you can go and track down the 4 Rolex 4113s which haven't been found yet.
