As read in other topics, in all likelihood there'll be a #SpeedyTuesday GTG get-together in the renewed Omega museum, relocated from the white building at Rue Jakob-Stämpfli 96 to the modern glass building at Nicolas-G-Hayek Strass / Rue Nicolas Hayek ...
Date speculations on such an event:
Tuesday = 16 July 2019 = 50 years since Apollo 11 launch
Tuesday = 23 July 2019 = 50 years since Apollo 11 splash-down
...
Before we wait for one of these data confirmations, we want to check whether there is any interest to GTG in the renewed Omega museum during the last week of August or the first week of September 2019...

I'd gladly participate to that Seamaster GTG if/when it happens 👍

Distance between FORTIS watches Grenchen & Omega Museum Bienne is now about 10 kilometers... Two birds with one stone

During this GTG I plan to show a few things spaceflight related and afterwards, for those interested, at a " bar/pub " location might reveal some stuff I have been doing with two other important watch brands... Stuff not suitable for the forum as Omega team eavesdrops the forum from time to time 😗

If I’m allowed in even if I’ve never owned a Speedmaster I’m probably interested too (either date), never visited the museum.

I wish I could be there ... I'd have to get two things that I don't currently have: a Speedy (next on my list), and an updated passport.

40 years Omega museum !
The OMEGA Museum in Biel/Bienne Switzerland, opened in 1984 was the first museum to be dedicated to a single Swiss watchmaker and has long been the guardian of OMEGA’s history. Since 2019, 50 years Apollo 11, it moved into the new buildings next to the Omega HQ.
This photo shows the NASA-issued Omega Speedmaster 105.012-66 CB (NASA n° 57) used by US Navy Captain Apollo 12 Command Module Pilot Richard "Dick"Gordon (1929-2017) onboard "Yankee Clipper" in November 1969.
