Hope everyone is well. I have this Tudor Oyster model 4453. I purchased this from an estate sale because of the serial number. This watch has a 4 digit serial # and i was always told they always had 5. Must be fake right? Not so fast though. The font is exact. Measurement of placement is exactly where it should be. One number filed off? The numbers are on top of the model number not offset like the five number serial is. I have no way to open this watch to see the insides and when i bring it to various jewelers they tell if it breaks its not their fault. One person yold me it looks like the first year 1946 Tudor Oyster since it has the shield and the rose. The shield was removed in 1947. He said it could have been a prototype Tudor. He started asking who I purchased it from and their location by that freaked me put. Someone please help! Thank you for taking the time to help this noob!

It someone pays 1800 for it then they know the value, and i would be ok with it. Either way its sitting in my collection and I don’t collect these sort of watches.

But stating “all original” in the listing then coming here to ask us if it’s fake? You can of course ask whatever you’d like for it and someone can pay whatever they’d like, but lack of transparency as to your own questions about the watch in the listing is less than cool.

I just trying to find out why this watch has a four digit serial number. Im pretty sure its real and I was trying to find out if this a unique item. Didn’t really ask if it was authentic bc i know from thousands of watches i inspect that it should be authentic. The wuestion is about the rarity of the item.
