·Hope everyone is well. I have this Tudor Oyster model 4453. I purchased this from an estate sale because of the serial number. This watch has a 4 digit serial # and i was always told they always had 5. Must be fake right? Not so fast though. The font is exact. Measurement of placement is exactly where it should be. One number filed off? The numbers are on top of the model number not offset like the five number serial is. I have no way to open this watch to see the insides and when i bring it to various jewelers they tell if it breaks its not their fault. One person yold me it looks like the first year 1946 Tudor Oyster since it has the shield and the rose. The shield was removed in 1947. He said it could have been a prototype Tudor. He started asking who I purchased it from and their location by that freaked me put. Someone please help! Thank you for taking the time to help this noob!
