We all know, that prices steeply rise in Speedmasters world since a couple of years.
However we recently see crazy prices even for related items that are nothing but additions to the main subject of desire: The watch.

An early Seahorse Box was now sold in italy for more than 3.000,- EUR which is simply crazy, as it is nothing but a cardboard box with a lining that looks like the trousers my father wears in winter :D

    Here is the sale:

I have one of this boxes and I pictured it for my avatar here but I should think about putting it into a bank safe soon

And if anybody needs the correct advert with that, I am sure it will be not cheape either

3k for a box? I'd rather have a nice watch for that price!

In her defense I think she has a good reason for wearing it. Google cardboard and similar contraptions are a lot cheaper than the actual VR glasses. Saves a lot of $$$ for developers

Want to see a really rare box? Here you go. Not for sale, though truly silly offers will be considered...

Well, that auction says that it sold - was it relisted? And that one is in WAY worse shape than the one in the OP.

I've been told that these original 1912 "Coffin Boxes" are pretty rare due to the limited production of these VC 1912s.

I should add that I bought my 1912 NOS and wore it on an aftermarket strap and buckle. Gone but not forgotten :(

Nice box though and just maybe not too much money if you have a $50k plus watch to put in it?

I visited a vintage shop in the south of France and asked the guy if the small old box who was put in the vitrine as a decorative thing was for sale... No unfortunately but that was a 2915 box as well...

OK I didn't Insist because I don't have any 2915 but would have bought it for the fun to have something related to the first speedy ever made...
