I got this from @Bluemartinifan in trade awhile back and it doesn't get any wrist time, so here it is.

Case: 38mm 3 piece chrome plated case, recently replated and in good condition.

Dial: killer black with gilt writing, in very nice condition...cannot make out maker.

Movement: Swiss 15 jewel manual wind that winds smoothly, holds a decent power reserve, and keeps good time.

Overall, this is a great look at a bargain price, asking $200 shipped in CONUS, head only. PM or email watchknut AT gmail.com.

The dial reads "ONEKA ANCRE, Antimagnetique". I believe this was an Eastern European watch manufacturer. I have only seen pocket watches by them but this looks like a great example!

This watch appears to have begun life as a model with sweep seconds hand. Missing is the sweep seconds pinion, bridge for the pinion, retainer screw, sweep seconds pinion tension spring and screw. Dial appears to not be original to the movement, owing to the sub seconds hand. In order to achieve this, I suspect the fourth wheel from the sweep seconds movement would have had to be substituted by the fourth wheel from a sub second model. Missing the retainer screw for the winding stop click! In the modern vernacular, a “hybrid”. :whistling:

Thanks...I'll put all that in the "fuck it bucket" on a this one, sounds like $200 worth of trouble to accomplish all that.

Man, looks like @Bluemartinifan sold me a franken::bleh::

Whatever it is, it runs, looks cool, and has a great presence.

    That's a
    That's a helluva an asessment on a $200 watch!
I will provide some facts as I was the prior owner. I bought it on Ebay cause it was jumbo, black dial, gilt, cool and a bargain. At this price level I did not agonize over vetting detail like I do for a gilt sub purchase. I then Spent $250 to have the case re chromed, It wears great for what it is. I traded to Matt with cash for a chrono.

I sense an element of doubt in your post, seemingly based on what I said in my post! Two of you got taken on this thing, and since it was being offered for sale yet again, I felt it was about time to stop the masquerade! Considering the general quality of the For Sale offerings on the OMB, eBay was the right place to offer it for sale again. Not here! Truth often hurts. To avoid disappointment again in the future, I suggest that you should spend some time learning the danger signs, before to buy anything more on flea bay.

    Appreciate info
    Is that a joke post?

We aren't doubting your extensive knowledge of cheap, low end, manual wind chrome case pieces.

This watch is advertised and priced for what it is, no one is trying to fleece anyone here.

Based on @Bluemartinifan and my collections, I think we are doing just fine with knowledge and ebay.

We appreciate your armchair watchmaking theorems...now stop derailing my FS thread.

@Canuck one more thing, is it possible that the movement was altered at the time of manufacture? I mean, who really knows what was going on in the Oneka factory back then...sure as shit not you or anyone else on God's green earth.

This is a very cool 38mm gilt dialed 3-hander.

You don’t find cool looking oversized gilt dialed watches for $200 very often.

Frankly, at this price, who cares about the sum of its parts - this one is to buy, wear and enjoy for the smallest investment possible. If you’re buying this as an investment or collector grade piece, you’re doing it wrong imho.

    GLWTS
