Hi,

I bought this authentic 3861 bracelet on Ebay and after 1 week noticed the bracelet was catching on the lug and now has caused damage. Has anyone had the same issue and what was the solution? I just removed the bracelet and put the rubber strap back on. Thanks in advance!!

What case is that? There is always the possibility that attaching a 3861 bracelet to an older 1861/861 case will cause this kind of problem. Sometimes it works perfectly, other times, not. Are you absolutely positive the bracelet is genuine Omega?

Hi Appreciate your help! It is a hesalite 3861, and I believe the bracelet is genuine. I will have to confirm with a boutique. Here are some photos of both the watch head and bracelet with all items from the purchase. Does the bracelet have a warranty?

That all looks ok and you should get a good fit. Are you using the correct springbar for a bracelet.....068ST2207? You should get a tight fit with no movement of the end links.

You're likely using the wrong spring bars. The spring bars in the image of the bracelet seem original, but the spring bars on your rubber strap are aftermarket. Were you using those on the bracelet?

The bracelet pivots on the spring bar itself. If it's even slightly thinner than the original, it'll be enough to touch the lugs. I'm trying to force mine to touch the lugs, but it won't. The tolerances are super tight and are unforgiving if you use the wrong spring bars.

I assume they are correct since they came with the bracelet, I guess the only way to know is checking with a boutique. Thanks for confirming everything looks ok, thats a bit of relief. but st ill an odd issue.

Hi ! Thanks for the help, springs bars are original, just compared them to the original I have with the fabric straps. I did post in the omega FB group and someone mentioned the end links are incorrect. Unlike yours, mine is showing play. I wonder if this is something omega will replace, possibly out of tolerances?

I'm not sure why you think this is an Omega quality control issue. If you purchased the bracelet on eBay, perhaps the previous owner tampered with it.

True, only they know and they may not be truthful if I ask. The bracelet has a purchase date of 6/15/25...the only reason
I assume it may be an Omega issue. I will be ordering new end links and hoping that fixes it.

Are the spring bars for the bracelet the same as the strap?
I don’t know if it’s the case now but I’m sure there used to be different spring bars for bracelets and straps

Wow, that may be it as well, just measured springbars from the bracelet at 22.30mm with a digital caliper. Going to the boutique for both end links and springs bars, might as well get both.

UPDATE: This was a quality issue with the bracelet. Out of spec and catching on the case head. A replacement bracelet is on the way. Case will need to be sent out but I am waiting to enjoy during the holidays. Thanks!

I love how community blamed that it could be everything (fake links, fake/wrong springbars, etc) except Omega fault 😂
Good everything is solved. By the way the watch is a sapphire version but the bracelet is from hesalite specification, though technically they are the same except cosmetical difference.

Are you required to pay for the new bracelet?
