Hi all, I found this watch while looking through Watches of Knightsbridge's March sale. I had never seen this configuration on a UG before and am really fascinated by it. I've found a number of other UG's with caliber 291 now, some with moonphase and some without, but they all have this general layout.

The problem I'm having is finding another example with this oversized 37mm case size. All of the ones I've com across so far have been much smaller, 32-33mm. Does anyone know the reference number for this example? Or how I can find more oversized examples? I reached out to the auction house and they said they had no additional pictures or info.

    Thanks OF!!

No additional pics? Interesting.. Also 31.xxx can only be the refence I'd say. No idea whether the decoding of the reference is the same as with chrono's

You are correct. 37MM all seem to have the moon phase. The most obvious explanation is that the description is incorrect, but this is UG so anything is possible. :D

Ah so you think they were mistaken in listing it at 37mm?

I spent some time with Sala yesterday. This configuration simply isn’t documented in 37mm. Simplest explanation is that the description is wrong.

I’ve had a few 34.5mm triple date, which I considered “oversized”.
Haven’t seen a 37mm before, but just looking at this dial, the numbers are not cropped by the sub dials at 3 and 9.
I think it could be potentially a quite large dial. I would need to overlay some other dials and compare sub dial diameter and the openings for month and day, to try and estimate case size, which I can’t do right now while traveling.

I have handled chromed steel no moon triple date in 37 mm. So they do exist for real ;-)

I did some overlays comparing several 34.5mm cases I have had (same as Roland's above) and the first example in this thread looks significantly larger dial and case, I would say 37mm seems right.....
