Hi everyone.... I found a pic of a caliber 505 Seamaster Jumbo chronometre gold shell. I did not write down the case ref number... but it measures 36.6 mm in diameter ! I saw another 505 Seamaster chronometre posted here but they said it has a 34.5 mm case... Does anyone else come across a jumbo ? Thanks bill Sohne
I think 2854/2920. I remember bidding on a jumbo one from Colombia, pics are long gone from the listing but I found some small ones. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-SEAMA...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Hi Bill I found exactly this watch a few weeks ago. 36,6mm Here is the Thread http://omegaforums.net/threads/no-risk-no-fun.8361/ tamura
Hi its ths a great watch and I would say its uncommon. I will dig my example out but mines does not have the Seamonster on the center of the caseback. I bought mine about 20 years ago from a auction house in the UK, via a web portal . The sellers pic was horrible made the markers look flat! can I ask how much was the hammer ? bill
Hi Tamura I dug mine out today... yup its the same ref but mine is a dash -3 and does not have the big seamonster.... took iphone photos as that was all i had with me... Good Hunting Bill
Hi Bill Sohne Great to see another one - very nice!! Mine is from 1958 the year the hippocampus appeared.(?) As the watch was junk rated in that yahoo japan auction, I've not overpaid. So far there are 3 different case backs!?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-USED...458?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41665ba992Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Thank You tamura
Nice watch, but hands are too short. Also the movement/dial is not clamped down to the case or incorrectly positioned.
