35mm on a 6.75” wrist?

Putting this in vintage since 35mm is more common in older watches.

Just wondering if anyone has experience/photos with this combination of proportions—?

I know there are other factors: wrist shape, lug to lug, etc. But I’m curious whether this will look too small…

I have a big wrist and many 34-36mm vintage, plus a Marlin. Design and wrist presence is key. I cannot wear small two tone date just for example. They look silly.

The watch I’m considering is a 35mm JLC ultrathin in red gold. So, slender. But also, gold. Guessing those two factors may cancel each other out in terms of presence.

My wrist is roughly that size, and I consider it to be a relatively small wrist. Obviously 35mm not too small speaking objectively, especially if the watch has a large dial and narrow bezel. But if you are accustomed to much larger watches, it will seem small at first. TBH, it's very personal, so you are the only one who can decide. You definitely don't want to spend a lot of money on your first 35mm watch and later find you don't enjoy it.

I think you are completely fine. The only way a 35mm looks small on your wrist is if it has a wide bezel. The bigger the bezel the smaller the dial, and that can make a watch look small. My Max Bill at 34mm looks much more like 36mm. A 37mm diver seems more like 34 / 35.

I have a 7.25" wrist and the smallest watch I have is a 33mm 19k Geneve. Doesn't look small at all. Frequently wear 34-36mm vintage Gold and Gold-capped Seamasters and they are a good size, don't look small.

I have a C-case and a TDMP in this size and a 7” wrist. Definitely a downsize coming from something like a Speedmaster but they look good and proportional on the wrist. Not too small. The TDMP is all dial so it wears larger.

Naturally. Was just wondering if others had input or pics. I don’t plan to sue anyone for steering me wrong if I end up going for it and feeling unsatisfied. I’m American—but I’m not THAT American. 😀

I have a 7.5" wrist and I'm frequently wearing 34-36mm watches. This is how a 34mm De Ville looks on my wrist. It has a relatively thin bezel and big lugs, so it wears a bit larger. The JLC Ultra Thin, if we're looking at the same watch, seems to have a thicker bezel so it will wear a bit smaller. Either way, I think you'll be fine.

This is 35mm and it fits fine on my 7.25" wrist. If you are into vintage you get used to smaller watches.

I have a 6.5" wrist and wear 32mm up to 36mm. Anything bigger than that starts to look out of place and begins to snag on pockets / sleeves etc.

Perfect proportions for your wrist size. I have about 6.5 and wear anything from 35mm up to 43mm (the later is on the very big side). Give it a try!

I have what I consider to be a small wrist and recently measured it at 7”.
It is a ‘flat’ wrist and this probably makes a difference.
Vintage watches are small by modern standards but it rather depends on what real estate you want on your wrist.

Good guidance here. I agree with most. Even if it feels small at first, unless you’re swapping between a vintage and a Speedy, you don’t notice. The smaller watches ARE very comfortable on the wrist too and that’s what I now notice when I go back to a larger modern watch.
