Is the tritium on 80s models different from the early 90s tritium? The 145.0022s seem lighter or greener somehow, whereas the later models, late 89-96/97 seem much more "intense".

Nice catch. That patina is awesome. This one's definitely on my bucket list.

I have read that the late 80s to mid 90s tend to turn the yellow/gold/orange as the earlier ones are more greenish. One of the many reasons I was searching on this era.
I have never heard why the tritium is tinted differently.

I am really attracted to the enlongated S and R on Speedmaster on the 80s models, but the tritium is quite pretty on the early 90s models. Mans worst enemy... choices.

    Hi @ptfly
I have a very similar 3590, both our dials look identical and the lume colour is fantastic.
One difference between our watches is the bezel, I have the earlier one compared to yours.
You mention transitional, is that in regards to the different bezels originally mounted to these watches or something else related to the 3592?

    Best regards

Easy. Get one now then save up for the second :)
I wanted something I felt comfortable wearing often but in mint condition so it took me some time to find. I thought it would be an earlier watch, maybe 1992 but this transitional version showed up. It was sold in 2004 as the warranty card shows. Bonus points for some bluish grey bezel fade.
watchvaultnyc and Kringkily were very helpful in my search.
