3590.50 & 3861 Woes

Hi All,

I’m currently debating between a 3590.50 preferably with the long S & R dial and a pre owned 3861 Hesalite.

A few questions if I may?

1. If I went with the 3590.50, does anyone know if the 3861 bracelet will fit the case? If it does, is the fit nicely flush or is there play with the end links?
2. Can anyone recommend a UK based dealer who sells older Speedmaster?

The issue is, the vintage bracelets, all the way to '90s and the 1479 uses small tabs/wings to stabilize the end link. The modern bracelets use more accurate machining and a lip. At best, the lip will cause the end link to tilt unattractively, worst if you file it away, you now are relying on it fitting very closely to the case so the end link doesn't flop around. Forstner end links might work. I don't think it's worth all the cost, though. I just bought the A11 50th for my new 3861 Moonwatch and it never crossed my mind to attempt to fit it to my SM300 or "Replica" Speedmaster.
