Up for sale is a project that I just haven't gotten around to completing, so selling it for parts/repair. It's a very nice but non-running F300hz Seamaster Chronometer hummer with its original 1175 flatlink bracelet. Note the photos were taken while the movement was still running, but it has since stopped - it hums but the second hand doesn’t move. The case, dial, and bracelet are in incredible condition.

[Watch now sold, bracelet still available] Asking $350 (reduced from $450) head only or $1,050 with the bracelet (reduced from $1,250).

Dial: Original, non-refinished silver brushed dial is in perfect condition as far as I can tell. Any blemishes you see in photos are on the crystal. The tritium lume is fully intact on both the dial and the hands. Features its original blued second hand. It's an overall stunning dial.

Case: Original 36mm (edit: previously mis-stated 35mm) 198.001 reference case is in very nice, unpolished condition. The main case, bezel and lugs retain their original brushing and have very sharp edges. The case back is also in very nice condition - the hippocampus logo is sharp. There is very minor wear on the case, as expected, but it is overall in incredible condition for its age.

    Crown: Original signed crown.

Crystal: Original signed crystal (Omega logo etched at center). There are some very minor scratches that will buff out.

Movement: Original 1250 caliber hummer movement needs work. When I first got the watch about a year ago, it was running fine with the exception that the date didn't change over. However, not long after that, it stopped running. Specifically, it still hums with a battery installed but the second hand doesn’t move. I removed the battery, and it's been sitting in my 'for service' pile ever since. I don't know what's wrong with the movement, but I'm optimistic it can be repaired since it was at least running early last year. That said, it is sold as-is for repair. Serial number dates the watch to 1970.

Bracelet: The 1175 flatlink, which is original to the Seamaster, is in very nice, unpolished condition. The only real blemish is that one of the links that had been tucked inside the buckle has some damage. Clasp is dated to October 1970 (10-70). It's 15.5cm endlink to endlink, plus two additional removable links that are also included in the sale (one has a broken spring bar.. could be replaced of course). The bracelet pairs very well with the Seamaster, but it also fits Speedmaster references with the appropriate endlinks (reference chart here). Comes with the original 19mm #48 endlinks. Strap pictured is not included in the sale.

I'll cover insured US shipping, international shipping is available but cost to be discussed with the buyer. Bank transfer or PayPal goods and services are okay for payment (you cover fees for PP). OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if item is grossly misrepresented. Item is located in the USA.

I put a new battery in the watch to refresh my memory on the movement status. My memory was correct - it does hum once the battery is installed, but it doesn’t run (second hand doesn’t move). Description updated above.
