I think the strategy is becoming much cleaner The steel 321 is likely the 50th version without moonshine gold bezel and fitted with a 321 Probably with the bracelet too, in effect the 321 is a full steel reissue of the 105.012-64/65- with a regular dial no moon artefacts In effect making the 50th anniversary a hybrid model The movement from the 50th being used for the regular product The differences will be subtle but. I can see collectors buying both as a result As for price I reckon the new metas mvt certified will hit £5000 and the 321 knocking on £9000: ie bang on Daytona money Just my thoughts Now if they make this into the 321......
I tend to agree. I think that your prices are a little light. I would estimate £5.5 on the metas mvt and just under £10k for the 321. The 50th anniversary will be the model for the new metas mvt. speedy. I would expect it to be released eagerly next year. There would be a new snoopy released alongside.
Your not getting any change from $12-15K for the steel 321 Don’t forget only 2000 made each year ( and platinum and others getting movements first ) so this is not going to be a off the shelf purchase like most think. ( or of the Top Shelf )
Breguet have said they will deliver 2000 and this could possibly go up if it does well. But unlikely I suspect. There has got to be something in it for them. I expect the price to be 30% more than in house. Considering the movement is harder to make than the 1861 and with Breguet’s fee I think that 10-12k is right. Probably around the same as the steel and gold anniversary watch. Plus if it’s any more you may as well pick up an original. It’s also at odds with omega wanting to evolve too. So I’d be surprised to see modern styling. I personally would find it a bit odd to put such an old movement in a modern looking watch. So it’s odd they went with ceramic.
