321 Speedmasters - what is the applied Omega Ω logo made out of?

    Question as stated in the subject field. Does anybody know? Just curious, and been wondering for quite a while!

    I'm just guessing here, but I'd say rhodium plated brass or copper.

    Silver would tarnish too quickly and I don't think they'd use white gold on a tool watch (it'd be rhodium plated anyway).

    Rhodium plated gold sounds right to me. It's likely the same part as was used on the higher level Omegas (Constellations, Seamasters, etc.)

    The cost of these applied gold figures was minimal back then. In fact, it's minimal today:
