http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Speed...985088?hash=item3d16c48d80:g:peIAAOSwz2lXBtARPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

At a quick glance it looks like a vintage 321 Speedmaster that's had a rough life but would be a reasonable restoration candidate, then you take a slightly closer look... and there is no vintage 321 Speedmaster in those photos at all...

I'll give him credit for adding the dirty hands and the dust to make it look like it might in fact be a vintage watch sitting in a drawer for a long time rather than an assembly of parts intended to trick a potential buyer.

More details please, I'm not seeing why it's not just a really poor condition 145.012 franken.

Saw this last night. Struggling to see a single vintage Speedmaster part

Just looks like a water damaged early 321, probably from a Seamaster, with a modern service dial and case.

    Check the caseback again :)

That assumption is exactly what he's hoping for.

Ok got it. Is there a term for a franken watch with parts from other models?!

    21 bids, $1,280.

For starters, it's a service case. Who knows what's inside.

The fact that there are 22 bids up to $1330 is just shocking!! There's not a single vintage 321 Speedmaster part in there as the movement is probably from a Seamaster. All the seller had to do was put 321 in the title to reel in the suckers. Crazy!!

Not really. It will part out for that price.

I think even that's a bit of a stretch given the movement condition and the low interest and demand for 145.0012 cases and service dials, I'm just hoping some bidders don't push it into 2k or 3k territory and get burned.

Even rough looking 321 movements have sold for 1000+ recently. I don't think 300 for a service dial and case is unreasonable.

I wouldn't buy it, but if this was listed as 'parts lot - used Omega 321 movement with used speedmaster service case and dial' Im certain it would sell at or above the current price.

Ok, good luck to you then. I'm not in the market for any 321 parts so I have no skin in the game. I will be interested to hear exactly what parts from this thing are drawing so much interest. I'm much more intrigued with how much the 7077/6 bracelet and end links will sell for. Anyone think $2500+?

It'll be interesting to see what it goes for.

How much do you think a 321 movement is worth now, in reasonable condition?

I bought a few times from this seller (I'm satisfied) but I'm wondering why he is doing this - very uncommon!
