    +1 on that

I think it will be a ST model and as you say, re-edition.

Even though we have had an annual ST watch, i'm not so sure it will be an annual thing. First was Jan 2017, second (ultraman) was Nov 2018. So entirely likely, as the 321 cannot be produced at the moment in more than 2000 pieces per year, i'd say we should expect it towards the end of the year / next year.

I kind of want an early CH27/321 based 40s Omega chronograph re-edition, but obviously the demand would probably be in another Speedy!

That would be very nice indeed.

You can get sector dial and pulsometer versions, such as the one in my avatar, from the museum collection but they use 3201 and 3203 movements.

A 321 powered 40's watch would be stunning.

"as the 321 cannot be produced at the moment in more than 2000 pieces per year"? - why is that?

    “EW”?

    As in “Echo Whiskey”?

If so, I’d vote for that.

Breguet will supply the 321 to Omega for their watches and the information given from Omega during an interview was that they can hit 2000 pieces per year initially.

I assume it is a parts and skill limitation initially.

I suspect Omega wanted to use the 321 in their anniversary watches but the movement numbers deficit was just too great and therefore it will be used, but in limited numbers. I suspect something like a FOIS. Hence the limited aspect and the suspicion it will be something like an Ed White.

I tend to agree. A limited production in PM with a number in Bi Colour using the scanned case that they mention.
I think that all anniversary watches will have the new 3861 movement in. The 1861 movement being phased out over the next 18 months. The new speedmaster being introduced mid next year.

All I've heard from my OB is that the 321 will have a SS version. As far as design something more vintage style from what it sounds like although details are not allowed to be given on that...I just hope for hesalite and not like the sapphire the FOIS got. They will contact me when it's announced and deposits being accepted.

As your fondness for this watch grows, I see my dib-ness progressively becoming less relevant...

I stopped being interested when Omega decided to separate the revived 321 from the 50th anniversary moonwatch. "Let's make two products that capitalize on history instead of one," they said. "We can double our profit!" No thanks...

Despite all the press releases making a big thing about this being a 321 movement as made in the 1960's I am still expecting a twist in the tale when the watch (or watches) it is in are revealed.

Oh goody....we are on to a new theme. We are done with the all gold Speedmaster, and beaten the Apollo 11 steel/gold version to death, so it is now time to laser focus on the new kid on the block, the mystical 321 movement reintroduction.

Maybe the existing Moonwatch with the 1861 will be shelved, maybe the 321 can be 'Master Chronometer Certified', maybe then the 321 calibre can replace the 1861 and maybe take the Moonwatch back to being that 'NASA Watch'.

If the 321 is put into a Platinum case / bracelet then the watch will be for the wealthy only, not very fair on the enthusiast who doesn't have deep pockets - e.g. Me :D, so a SS version please.

Also, I would rather that the new watch was launched as a 'New' watch not a special or limited edition. If 2000 units is the max per year then let's have a rolling 2000 units of the same watch each year no limited editions at least for a year or three.

In reality I haven't got a clue what will happen, but it is still good fun having a guess :), maybe :D:D:D

Am I the only one more excited about Omega putting the new 3861 coaxial master chronometer movement in regular production Speedmasters?

It seems like a true advancement.

I tend to agree with this.

    I'll throw in <100 made and ~$50k.
