Lately I've been looking at examples of these, and some of them have swiss/swiss made while others do not. I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but is there a reason why? Also, any opinions on this one would be appreciated! Edit: Found my answer to the swiss question, but still would like opinons on the dial!
All depends on when the Rg watch was made - the earlier versions did not have swiss or swiss made (from the late 1930s to early 1940s) and the later ones had those words printed. This one on ebay is a nice example and will likely fetch a good price.
I think that's in the ballpark for one with minimally polished case and excellent original dial. Although I'd personally replace the crystal:
Seller made a mistake settling for a BIN - that is a very good price for the watch. Buyer may even be a poster here (though I don't know that for a fact). These watches used to be of special interest for me but now not so much. I will say though that there are some vintage omega collectors who are really passionate about manual wind omegas though for that specialized group they tend not to go after the 33mm versions unless the dial was special (i.e. original so-called scientific dial).
Well I ended up being the buyer. For the most part it looks good, but the left lug is just the tiniest amount bent, maybe a fraction of a mm. The right lug also might be a little polished, either that or my eyes are going. It's hard to tell on the wrist, but I'll get some pictures.
That's good get Kyle. Glad to see you and seller were able to agree on a price that IMHO is below market.
Congrats Kyle. Not too long ago, this one was sold for US $3,053.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110797757244Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Zenith 135 hands down more difficult to find and condition being the same generally more expensive - the exception being the scientific dial Rgs.
