As I do not know these at all, her my question, if this is a good example: http://www.ricardo.ch/kaufen/uhren-...a-in-18-karat-von-1948-wie-neu/v/an745883298/ The dial looks extremely clean. Is it too clean (service dial, redial...)? Thank you very much.
Actually, I think the dial may be OK. The watch looks to be in very nice overall condition. It's possible that the crown may be a modern replacement. Not unusual for these. Price is rather high by US standards, but the watch is in Switzerland. gatorcpa
I agree with Gator, this looks to be a nice example of a 30T2 gold dress watch. The crown may well be replaced, but the style is OK. The engraving on the caseback will reduce the value, but on the plus side this is an oversize case for the period, probably about 36mm. A lot will depend on where you reside. As Switzerland is not in the EU, a buyer from the rest of Europe will pay VAT of probably 20% on top of the purchase price. Whereas if you are in Switzerland or the USA, you get a better deal.
Thank you very much for your assessment. Yes, I do live in Switzerland, but no, I didn't get it in the end.
