Picked up a circa '43 Omega with a 30T movement. Keeping good time, but the power reserve didn't make it through the night - only got about 11 hours.

I'd expect it to be better - what's your experience?

Sending it off for service in any event, but would like to know what to expect upon return.

    Thanks all!

With a modern mainspring, such as the Generale Ressorts GR4245, you should get better than 36 hours I would imagine. But Al (Archer) will have the correct Omega specification for power reserve.

Power reserve stated by Omega for these is 32 hours.

    Cheers, Al

Just a quicky. I'm amazed at how often people do not wind fully! I'm sure other watchmakers with confirm. If your watch is in good order and serviced within the last 18 months with moderate use. Wind fully until obvious resistance / stop. Do not be scared you cannot over wind. If concerned bring to a local vintage watchmaker / specialist. Think of the clock work toy. A few winds will make it move more winds will make it walk of the table etc etc. IMG_20141105_124811.jpg IMG_20141017_112257.jpg IMG_20141016_120252.jpg
