Hi guys,

I'm looking for advice/info on this 1934 Omega I was offered today. I have trouble finding information on it since there is no recognizable reference numbers on the photos I was sent. I think I've seen around here photos of similar omegas, but can't look them up...

My main concern is whether:
1. dial has been repainted. I don't have better photo for the moment.
2. hands are original. I love those cathedral hands, they look great. Subsecond hand looks a bit long, but not sure...

Thanks,

Very similar to the CK2111s as noted by @DON way back here.
Cathedral radium hands and no radium lume on the dial. Hard to say waht it would have looked like originally.
Probaly similar to the one shown in the referenced post.

Thank you. Do you suggest that dial should be lumed (or it originally had lume, but was repainted at some point in time), given the radium hands?
Or hands were swapped?

I couldn't find another photo of CK2111 or CK2064 on the internet, with cathedral hands...

I just found this ad cut out. Photos of the exact same reference I have, it is CK 2111, 23.4SC caliber.
As it can be seen on the photos, arabic numerals are lumed indeed. This means either:
a) dial was repainted
b) dial was swapped at some point in time

Will inspect the watch in person today and will make a final decision.

Here is translation of the ad french text:

3391. Omega "Naïad", 1940:
Caliber 23.4 mm, champagne two-tone dial, recessed small seconds on circular guilloché pattern, railway track minute markers, modern Arabic radium numerals, luminous skeleton hands, two-piece tonneau-shaped waterproof case in Staybrite stainless steel, circular satin-finished bezel, polished case sides and lugs, screw-down case back engraved "Modèle + déposé, Waterproof," along with the case's serial number, lead gasket, shatterproof crystal, and waterproof crown. (CK 2108; also produced in a center-seconds version, caliber 23.4 SC, under reference CK 2111.)

No it is just a cal. 23.4 as it is not a centre seconds watch. You must use just the first part of the text, the last sentence points to a different reference!
Your watch is a ref CK 2108

Pulled the trigger.

My verdict is that it’s a very good redial, but very well executed one and love the cathedral hands, so I can live with it.
