Did anyone in the OF family pick up this nice military sector dial?
There was a lot of interest and great to see for a small watch.
I put in what I thought was a reasonably strong bid but wasn’t close enough.
From memory it hammered for GBP 1.2k excluding commission.
Congrats to the new owner.

 

Lovely dial for sure, but it certainly does look small, 28mm?

 

Small is the new big
Approx 30mm from memory.
The strap is too wide for the lugs and is squeezed to fit which makes it seem smaller that it is.

 

I saw this in person, and hopped it would fly under the radar. This was not the case. It was really nice though, much nicer than in the pictures, congrats to the new owner.

As a side note, if anyone wants to buy anything from Amersham auction rooms and wants to see better photos beforehand, let me know and I can go and take some pictures.

 

Nothing beats seeing it in person....however that makes me wish I’d bid a bit more
