    Hi
I picked up a 1960s Longines on eBay at a decent price and know that the watch with this serial number was delivered to their agent in Peru in 1963
We think the face has been customised to include the stars and possibly the 12 and I think I read somewhere that this was a South American trait

Any thoughts or have you got a manual wind 370 that has had similar treatment?

Face does appear fresh so maybe a recent refinish? Just don’t know

    Any help appreciated
    Cheers

    The dial has been refinished.

It is a clear refinish if you look at other examples of the period

Nice looking piece. Just not a collectors piece due to the refinish of the dial.

I agree with the others that the dial is refinished. Although the watch may originally have had the 3 stars. As you point out, Longines agent in Peru added the 3 stars to their watches sold there.

    Thanks for all your replies
I suspected a refinish but £120 worth of pleasure all day in my book.
    Much appreciated
