This watch is up for auction some months from now on a swedish auction site. http://www.kaplans.se/kaplans/AuctionArt.aspx?vId=907165&plT=68315998&AuktID=2444 What is the expert opinion on this dial? No "swiss made" visible below the 6, but that could be the crystal hiding it. The watch certainly needs to be cleaned up. It is impossible to se if is corrosion or dirt on the steel backcase. /ReneB
The dial looks okay to me. The 354 did come inside the 2652 from 1952 on, and the serial number puts the movement at 1952.
"Swiss Made" is a bit hidden, but is there. A little bit of dirt on the case back, but I think the medallions originally had some form of "antiquing" when new. By now, most have long been polished out. Watch looks like a "barn find" to me. Here is the rear of my Globemaster, also Ref. 2652-5 and cal. 354: Take care, gatorcpa
Many thanks for your assessment. The auction is 18 may, I will follow it to see what the price end up to be. /ReneB
